The former capital of Viet Nam from 1802 to 1945 under the control of famous Nguyen’s Dynasty. Your local guide will give you a deep understanding about the Imperial City, the Forbidden Purple city and the Emperor’s Private Residence. Have lunch in the local restaurant.
It was the oldest pagoda in Viet Nam and was built in 1061. You will hear the most interesting legend story about the pagoda and you will also have the chance to see the old car of the famous monk Thich Quang Duc, who burnt himself to protest the persecution of Buddhists by the South Vietnamese government led by the President Ngo Dinh Diem.
You will visit one of most beautiful works of royal architecture of Nguyen’s Dynasty. It is called Tu Duc Tomb with many buildings constructed for his wives and many other reasons. Its construction started in December 1864 and finished in 1867.
You can choose to visit Khai Dinh or Minh Mang Tomb instead of Tu Duc Tomb.
